On-Campus Access to Cadence Tools
- Some of UD ECE labs have X2Go Clients installed on the desktops to remotely access the Linux servers. If you have a PC or laptop and are on the campus network you can proceed to install and use X2Go Client.
- CPEG 424/624 students connect to the server (cpeg424.ece.udel.edu)
- Linux and Mac users can use ssh instead of the X2Go client. They can do so by using the command
ssh -XY [username]@ece-ece410.ece.uidaho.edu
OR
ssh -XY [username]@ece-ece410.ece.uidaho.edu
PS:
- If you are connecting through a personal laptop through the UI wireless connection, make sure you have better quality link.
Always keep saving your files while you work and take regular backups. It is recommended that you take FTP backups (e.g. using Filezilla) from the server on your personal machine (or mail to yourself) in order to avoid losing data during server crashes.
