To install the Cisco AnyConnect, follow the directions below: * Navigate to the VPN home page: * If **On Campus** [[https://bsuvpn-oncampus.boisestate.edu]] * If **Off Campus** [[https://bsuvpn-offcampus.boisestate.edu]] You should arrive at the Cisco SSL VPN Service page. ===Connect=== * Leave the 'Group' as the default option; bsuvpn. * Authenticate with your BroncoWeb credentials. * Read and accept the Computer Usage Policy by clicking continue. * You will be prompted to download the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client. * Download and install the software. * Please note that this installation might temporarily interrupt your active network session. Once installed, the Any Connect software will be available in your programs menu. One can connect to the respective VPN on/off campus environments by changing the 'Connect to:' URL Upon launching the client. * If on campus Connect to: bsuvpn-oncampus.boisestate.edu * If off campus Connect to: bsuvpn-offcampus.boisestate.edu ===32-bit Windows OS=== Follow instructions for using VPN client on [[http://www.lumerink.com/CAD%20Tools/VPN_32bit.htm|32-bit Windows (XP)]]. ===MAC Users=== In OS X, after installing the Cisco Anyconnect SSL VPN client, use: Finder > Applications > Cisco > Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client It will prompt for your BroncoWeb username and password. ==== Testing Server Connectivity ==== You can test your connectivity to the AMS servers by pinging ams1.boisestate.edu as shown in the figure below. {{:image008.jpg?nolink&600|}} If you are not able to reach at least one of the {ams1, ams2} servers, then there is some issue in your VPN setup or internet connectivity. Notify the course TA if you believe that either of the ams1 or ams2 servers are down.
